Conscious Sedation and Pain-Free Dentistry

Conscious Sedation and Pain-Free Dentistry

If just the thought of sitting in the dentist’s chair makes you tense or nervous, you are not alone. Fortunately, one of the simplest solutions to conquer pain and anxiety is Nitrous Oxide or “Laughing Gas.”  Nitrous Oxide is one of the mildest forms of Sedation Dentistry. In our practice, patients enjoy conscious sedation for everything from complex procedures to simple cleaning.
It is called “Conscious Sedation”, because patients are highly relaxed yet fully awake. Unlike other forms of sedation, there are no injections or pills required, and little to no residual effects. Patients leave the office feeling as alert and responsive as when they entered.

If you are anxious, have sensitive teeth, or a strong gag reflex, conscious sedation can be an ideal solution. It can make any visit a more pleasant and relaxing experience. Perhaps you or someone you know would like to determine if conscious sedation is right for you. Simply fill out this contact form and we will answer any questions. - Donald Burger DDS FAGD
